Is there anyway I could mimic the feature of onKeyUp event of Javascript?

I want to have a "auto jump" from one field (field1) to another field(field2) when field1 has reached its max length.

I can get it work on Web client using javascript on onKeyUp event. But, I need to make it work on Notes cliet. Is it possible?
